Tennessee First conservative John Crawford proudly stands with President Trump, serving Tennessee’s 1st House District. A public servant and community leader from Sullivan County, John has built a reputation as a strong advocate for conservative local government, strengthening our borders, keeping taxes low, and ensuring public safety.
John has constantly been held in high esteem not only in his district but across Tennessee. He was called to serve as Majority Assistant Floor Leader and Chairman of the State and Local Government Committee for four years in the House of Representatives. John has served on numerous committees, including Finance, Ways and Means, Calendar and Rules, Government Operations, and the Tennessee Advisory Council on Intergovernmental Relations.
Before joining the legislature, John served on the Sullivan County Commission, including as Chairman Pro-Tem. His community involvement extends far beyond the Capitol with active roles as a reserve officer with the Kingsport Police Department and Sullivan County, local organizations including the Kiwanis Club of Kingsport, the Boys and Girls Club, Leadership Kingsport, and the Bloomingdale Volunteer Fire Department.

As a standout leader, Crawford has received numerous honors for his public service, including the County Officials Association of Tennessee’s “Representative of the Year,” the Americans for Prosperity “Education Freedom Fighter” award, and multiple recognitions from the Tennessee Chamber of Commerce and District Attorneys Association.
